A new chapter

Late in 2009 I recieved a call from the OMHM (Office municipal d'habitation de Montréal) advising me that I was being offered an apartment.
Just like that, out of the blue, after a five-year wait, I had to either accept or refuse the apartment during the course of a short telephone call - based only on an address and floor number. I accepted, and was told that a rental agent would communicate with me to set up an appointment to see the unit.
This is the story of my journey.

The Search

I am in shock.  I've been offered a HLM -- which I haven't seen yet -- but once I do see it I'll have one week to decide whether or not I want it and will have to move within three months of signing the lease.

Things I know: the apartment is in a good location.  The building is a senior's building (so hopefully quiet).  It's a one-bedroom located on the third of six floors, and it faces a park.  It has a balcony and large windows.

Things I don't know: the size of the unit.  I've heard that they are quite small, but after extensive googling I've not been able to find any information about the square footage of these apartments -- never mind a layout or a photo.
